GIFT IFSC plays a strategic role in advancing India’s maritime and logistics infrastructure. Through GSIFSC, seamless support is extended to AMNSI and Tata Steel for the efficient handling and movement of coastal cargoes.
The ecosystem enables the optimized deployment of five Baby Cape vessels – each with a carrying capacity of approximately 107,000 MT – facilitating an average of at least 1.5 shipments per month per vessel. This ensures smooth and reliable coastal transportation of iron ore from Vizag to Hazira, along with regular limestone shipments to Paradip and Dhamra.
By enhancing cargo flow efficiency, reducing logistics bottlenecks, and strengthening coastal sipping capabilities, the GIFT IFSC ecosystem contributes meaningfully to India’s broader vision of building a world-class, integrated maritime logistics network.
